Start of School Delayed for Monterrey Elementary Students
The decision was made to delay the start of school at Riverside by one week. This will give us time to ensure that only minimal construction activity will be occurring when students and staff are in the building.
School for Monterrey students K-5 will be delayed until the week of August 15, 2022. Kindergarten and First Grade students will start on Monday August 15, 2022. Grades 2 through 5 will start on August 16, 2022.
Monterrey teachers will start on August 11, 2022.
To maintain the same end of school date as the rest of the district we will need to review options for making up the time. There are multiple options that can be used to make up the 4 days of instruction that we will need to make up. We evaluate all of the options over the next several weeks and determine what the best course of action is.
